“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!.”-Psalm 150:6
The last chapter of the book of Psalms uses the word “praise” thirteen times and is only six verses long. Throughout the book we read of triumph, tragedy, overcoming enemies, and the holiness of God. Today’s verse is the very last in the book, and it simply implores us to praise the Lord.
As we gather in our places of worship today we must remember that we are not going to be entertained or to see a good show, but we are going to encounter a Holy God who is worthy to be praised. We must prepare our hearts and minds accordingly. He created the universe, our innermost being, and we must always remember how awesome that is. How will you praise the Lord today?
